Teresa recently earned an MS in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University, 2016, and a BS in Bioengineering from Santa Clara University, 2014. Teresa and co-founder Sona Shah founded the global health tech startup Neopenda, and are developing a low cost wearable neonatal vital signs monitor aimed to help health workers in resource-constrained areas manage high volumes of critically ill babies and reduce preventable deaths. She is passionate about applying innovative technologies to create solutions to important health problems, and leads Neopenda’s technology development, working closely with future users in Uganda and our technology team to design an appropriate and affordable product.
